There are a lot of water sports including snorkelling, speed boat rides and water scooters. A lot of dolphins are found here generally early in the morning and when you go for a boat ride you find them in the sea. Also a lot of starfishes can be found on the beach.
Dhamapur: Sindhudurg’s picturesque 5 acre lake is famous for its crystal clear puyre waters. The tranquil , ancient Bhagwati temple sits by the water’s edge. Boating facilities are available here and MTDC is developing a lake side resort.

MTDC’s thatched beach front restaurant, run by a local family, serves authentic Malvani cuisines. Try Chatni and Sol Kadi and you will be carried away to ask for the more. In addition, a few families close to the resort also serve food at makeshift open air gharguthis in their backyards. Though quite similar to Goan food, with a strong bias for sea creatures, Malavani cuisine is distinctive in its liberal use of tart, plump, kokum berries and spicy sour flavors.
