The travelers can reach this mesmerizing destination by Airways, Railways and Roadways. Ernakulam junction is well connected to all the major cities of India. The NH 47 and NH 17 highway joins rural as well as urban parts of India by road. The KSRTC buses can also be boarded at the main bus stand.
How to Reach Cherai Beach by Airways: Cochin International airport is the nearest airport, Nedum- bassery North of the city near Angamaly, is conncted daily to the Thiruvananthapuram, Ahemdabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkota, Mumbai, Chennai and Colombo.
How to Reach Cherai Beach by Railways: Ernakulam town and Ernakulam junction serve Kochi , both well connected by Cannore, Netravati and Parashruram express trains from Kozhikode and Thriuvananthapuram. Ernakulam is connected daily to Mumbai by the Netravati and mangla Laskwadweep expresses.
How to Reach Cherai Beach by Road: Ernakulam is on NH47 that links Salem to Kanyakumari via Palakkad(146km), Thrissur(79km), Ernakulam, Alleppey(63km), Kollam(147km) and Thiruvananthapuram (210km).
Bus: Ernakulam’s KSRTC Bus stand has daily services to almost all the destinations.
Attractions - Vypeen is a long finger
24 km long and 2 ½ km wide—the sea and backwater on either side. The light house at Ochanthuruthu offers a panoramic view. There is also important Church of Our Lady of Hope near the Vypeen Jetty. Most people come to Vypeen to splash around on Cherai Beach.

For mundus head to Church Landings Street, where Balaramapuram Hand Weaves, Ramapuram Hand weaves and Kasavukada opposite each other, stock every kind of mundu. Another excellent place mundus and traditional Travancore saris is Kalyan silks. Handicrafts at Kairali on MG road include items made from canes, reeds, natural fibers, rosewood, sandalwood and cedar. The KTDC Complex on Sanmugham Road also has handicrafts.

Bhagvathy Temple: It is one of the Kerala’s most famous. The timings of this temple are from 5:00Am to 11:00Am and 5:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm, special pujas take place. Saint Georges Forane Church is amongst the oldest Churches in Kerala built in the year 595 AD on land donated by the raja of Edapally. The timings for the church are 6:00Am to 8:00Pm. The main feast is held for 10 days and it starts from April 25. It is also known as St. George’s Feast.
Museum: The museum of Kerala History in Edapally showcases human evolution showcases human evolution from the Neolithic period to the modern era with life size replicas and sound and light shows. The entry fee for adults is RS 25, Children Rs 8, Art gallery and Doll museum entry for adults is RS 25, Children Rs 12. The timings are from 10:00 Am to 4:00 Pm.
Thripunithura: Kerala’s temple festival season from December to April starts with the Utsavamat Poornathrayesa Temple Festival, coinciding with Onam festivities, commemorates what used to an annual event in the old days, when the kochi king travelers with his entire entourage to Thripunithura.
Veegaland(24km): It is blessed with an amusement park located in the east of the city. The timings of this amusement park is 10:30 Am to 6:30 Pm. It is equally and excellent weekend getaway for the residents as well as tourists.
